Temporary Vessel Replacement
MV Bowen Queen
Vancouver Island (Campbell River) – Quadra Island (Quathiaski Cove)
Until November 29, 2020
The MV Bowen Queen has replaced the Powell River Queen operating between Campbell River and Quadra Island until Sunday, November 29 at 3:00 pm.
As the MV Bowen Queen is a smaller vessel please note that overloads and delays may occur. Where possible, passengers are encouraged to plan ahead and consider car-pooling, travelling outside of heavy traffic sailing times and/or arriving at the terminal early for their desired sailing.
The MV Bowen Queen commercial vehicle capacity is reduced - vehicles over 10,000 kg GVW are restricted to center lane loading only. Maximum width for over-height vehicles is 10 feet (3.074 meters).
Due to the deck configuration of the MV Bowen Queen all vehicles over 6’8” in height, for all destinations, will be sorted to the over height lanes to maximize loading capacity. Customers may notice a change to lane assignments both in the terminal and on the vessel.
Passengers are advised that the MV Bowen Queen has washroom facilities available on the car deck during the voyage. The MV Bowen Queen will not have snack bar service available onboard.
