Walking Group
The walking group meets every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, at 9 a.m., Manson's Hall parking lot, for a 30-min to one-hour walk, followed by coffee in the outside seating of the Co-op café. If the weather is nasty, we may have coffee in Manson's Hall. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE CISS MEMBER TO WALK WITH THE WALKING GROUP! JUST COME!

Carpet Bowling
• Every Wednesday, Manson's Hall, 1:30 p.m. (please note – day change from Tuesday to Wednesday)

Jazzercise
• Every Mon, Wed, Fri, Manson's Hall, 9 a.m.

CISS Luncheons
Lunches will be served in Manson’s Hall, Tuesdays, 12:30 p.m., with COVID-19 protocols in place, so limited to 22 people. Contact Carina6793 if you would like to come.

Literary Afternoons
• Sunday, November 1, Manson's Hall, 2 to 3 p.m. Bring your own drink and snack.
• Sunday, November 22, Manson's Hall, 2 to 3 p.m.

Cortes Island Museum
• Main Gallery, 957 Beasley Road – noon to 4 p.m., Friday and Saturday
• Wild Cortes, 1225 Seaford Road (at Linnaea Education Centre) – Saturday, noon to 3 p.m.

Fridays, 1 to 3 p.m., Folk U on CKTZ 89.5 FM. You can also check past podcasts here.

• Co-op Cafe – Wednesday and Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., outside seating only
• Floathouse restaurant – Fri & Sat, 1 to 8 p.m.; Sunday brunch, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Look for specials on Tideline.

Cortes Island Library, 1225 Seaford Road
The Cortes Island Library is now open for Take-out Service. You can access the entire collection at search.virl.bc.ca or by calling 1-877-415-8475.
You will pick up your materials without any contact with the staff or other customers.
You can return library materials during Take-out Service hours.

• Thursday – 2 to 3 and 6 to 7
• Friday – 11 to 12 and 2 to 3
• Saturday – 11 to 12 and 2 to 3
• Sunday – closed

Magellan's Voyage Around the World

500 years ago! Magellan originally launched his expedition as a means of finding a western route to the Moluccas, a small archipelago in Indonesia known for its stores of precious spices like cloves, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Membership
The more members we have, the more we can do to help our neighbours on Cortes, and the better impression we can make when we approach governments over concerns or apply for housing or other grants. Our dues remain at a reasonable $10 per person. If you have not updated your membership, please do it now. Membership form attached below.
