It's a busy time of year here at the Cortes Health Centre, as we are preparing for the beginning of our flu clinics.
The public health flu clinic at the Gorge Hall was full on October 28th.
Public Health is putting on a second flu clinic on November 19th at the Health Centre and there are still some appointments available for this. Please see the Public Health poster for further details and to book an appointment. Priority will be given to children for this day as there is no influenza vaccinations happening at the school. Please book with the Public Health office by calling 250-850-2110.
We have received our flu vaccines at the Health Centre and are focusing on vaccinations for the most vulnerable and elderly people as a priority.
COVID-19
Please refer to
https://bc.thrive.health/ to assess yourself for COVID-19 related symptoms you might be experiencing. If you are symptomatic, please call the Health Centre to speak to the nurse or doctor present to see if you qualify for a swab.
Another helpful link for guidance with regards to preventing the spread of COVID-19 during upcoming celebrations and gatherings is:
http://www.bccdc.ca/health-info/diseases-conditions/covid-19/social-interactions/safer-celebrations-and-ceremoniesWhen visiting the Health Centre, we still ask for everyone entering to be wearing a mask. Please bring your own if you have one. If you don’t have one then one will be provided.
We have a supply of condoms available. If they are not just outside the door then please knock and they will be just inside the door.
Hope this is helpful.
