You are a rainbow, a being of light,
All possibly contained in you.
The conditions uniquely right so that you appear.
And I, mid-step, as happenstance chance to look up,
Glorious apparition - intangible, ephemeral.
Passers by around me pass on:
the crows & clouds indifferent to your presence
Your spectacle fluoresces regardless.
Awestruck, i stop & smile, amazed.
I revel in the kiss of sunlight on the back of my neck.
Yet feel grateful for the rain that has brought you.
How fortunate I am, that I see you, that I witness
Your brief, yet glorious existence.
