The board and staff at the Cortes Island Museum & Archives want to shout out a loud THANK YOU to Liam Baron-Preston and Norleen Lillico for volunteering to host our Wild Cortes Natural History Centre during this summer season.

Though the number of visitors was low due to COVID-19 concerns, those who did visit found the exhibits and information fascinating.

Wild Cortes will be open each Saturday this fall and early winter from noon to 3 p.m. and by appointment for private tours and functions whenever possible. Email cimastwincomm.ca or call the Museum at 250-935-6340 to book your visit. The exhibit is located at 1255 Seaford Road at Linnaea Education Centre (next to the library).

We also want to THANK Maëve Leduc, this summer’s host/interpreter, for her dedication, attention to detail and curiosity throughout this challenging season.

The Museum is now open each Friday and Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. Check out the new additions to our evolving exhibits: That Was Then / This Is Now and Curiouser and Curiouser.

Our Annual General Meeting is coming on October 25. Details of the meeting will be posted soon.
