Youth Programs are Back!

After a long break, the CCHA is happy to again offer free, drop-in, afterschool activity programs for youth!

All programs will be operating according to a WorkSafe BC COVID-19 plan that follows WorkSafe BC guidelines as well as any applicable public health ordinances. Please contact Jodi Peters (ccha.programsgmail.com) for a copy of the WorkSafeBC plan.

All participants will need to complete a registration form, available from program coordinators.

Here are the four programs we offer for our 2020/2021 program year:

In response to the need for effective safety protocols, we have moved our younger programs completely outdoors.

Kids in Action (ages 7 – 9 years) will be held on Wednesday afternoons. Kids will meet up with their Lead Coordinator beside the baseball fence in the school field at 2:45pm. Kids attending Cortes Island School and arriving directly from their classroom MUST have a note from home given to their teacher. The group will walk to the Lagoon on the School to Sea trail and enjoy outdoor activities there. Pick up is at 4:30pm in the Lagoon parking lot. KIA starts NEXT WEEK on Wednesday September 23rd and there will be a parent meeting from 4:30 – 4:45pm in the Lagoon parking lot.

Adventures in Leadership (ages 10 – 12 years) will be held Thursday afternoons. Youth will meet up with their Lead Coordinator beside the baseball fence in the school field at 2:45pm.
