Tune in Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. to 89.5FM or on CortesRadio.ca (repeats on Saturday from 5 to 7 p.m.) to hear administrators from Cortes Island School, Quadra Island School, Campbell River, Powell River, and Self Design Distance Learning speak up about the changing nature of education in our communities, the challenges and blessings of smaller rural schools, how things will look during the pandemic for those in school buildings and those learning from home, and what silver-linings we may create out of these challenging times.

Send questions in advance to ufolku.ca or tune-in on Friday from 1 to 3 and call at 250-935-0200.

This is part of a special series of Folk U Radio done in partnership with Cortes Currents that takes the Folk University model of slow learning, local knowledge sharing, and neighbours sharing with neighbours and combines it with Cortes Currents commitment to covering the news most relevant to our communities at this time. This show is brought to you by the Local Journalism Initiative - the program funded by Heritage Canada and administered through the Community Radio Fund of Canada. With support from Cortes Literacy and Decoda Literacy Solutions.
