The Cortes Island Seniors Society held its AGM on Tuesday, July 7 at 1:00 P.M. at Mansons Hall. Only 22 members were in attendance, which was perfect since that is exactly how many were allowed inside to keep our social distancing. Nothing seems unaffected by COVID-19.
The board elected for the coming year is Carolyn Howson president, Susan Ellingsen vice president, Peter Elliott secretary, Bradley Betz treasurer, and directors at large: Elizabeth Anderson, Judy Malek, Elinore Harwood, Peter Henbury, George Lerchs, Bruce Ellingsen and Arlene Tompkins. George, Bruce and Arlene have come onto the Board for the first time, and Wilson Baker has stepped down.
Sandra Wood spoke to the group after the business part of the meeting. She briefed us on the stage of development of the four new cottages and gave an update on Rainbow Ridge. She also provided some graphics taped to the wall for our perusal.
As usual, the meeting was followed by tea and coffee and goodies provided by Elinore, Judy and Sue.
Congratulations and thank you to Carol for accepting the president's position.
Thank you, Sue, for being such a wonderful president.
