The Cortes Community Economic Development Association (CCEDA) and Folk University are running a series of practical business skills workshops to help islanders grow and launch local, resilient, and pandemic-resistant businesses and social enterprises.

Our first workshop took place on Saturday, with 11 participants receiving three packed hours of practical bookkeeping wisdom from island bookkeeper and numbers ninja Jenny Hartwick.

On Thursday Irene Blueth will be sharing tools and tips for running a successful artisan online store. Register here.

- Work with a group of peers to refine your business model
- Dig into the details of identifying your market, assessing costs, and validating assumptions
- Finish the workshop with a solid skeleton for your business plan and clear next steps towards launching or growing your venture.
