In the next week, Cortes Clinic nurses and the Community Paramedic will be reaching out by phone to some island residents, particularly seniors, to check in and find out if you need any extra support right now.-perhaps with practical help or with information. We know that people's usual support systems may be interrupted by self-isolation.
If you need any practical support with grocery shopping or small chores we may be able to connect you with an appropriate service or person through the CCHA Augmented Home Support program or Seniors Helping Seniors. If you would like to have a regular check in we can connect you to Seniors Helping Seniors, Community Paramedic or Clinic nurses.
If any of these things might be appropriate to your needs and you don't hear from us, call Bernice or the clinic RN (250 935 6718).
If you need in-home personal care or caregiver respite for adults, you can call Bernice 250 935 6405 for information, or the Island Health Intake line 1-866 928 4988.
If you need medical help or advice, continue to call the clinic during business hours.(250 935 6718) Call 911 if it is an emergency.
