Thursday, March 19th, Whaletown Cemetery gate, 2:00 - 3:30 pm****

The Whaletown Cemetery is at the corner of Sawmill and Carrington Bay Roads. We will minimize our contact with one another by imagining our body bubble to be at least 2 meters. The weather forecast looks amazing.

In a Natural Burial Cemetery the un-embalmed body is buried in a biodegradable box or shroud where it will contribute to new life. After a burial is complete the occupied area is invited to return to its natural wild state. Rather than individual tombstones, a communal area commemorates those buried there.

If this is an option you'd like to help create in our existing cemeteries ( both Whaletown and Manson’s), please join us. We will meet and talk about the decisions that need to be made and the steps we need to take. If interested send me an email, and I’ll send you an agenda for the meeting so you can come more prepared.
