Community Paramedic Kim Robertson teaches wound care and how to use everything in a standard First Aid kit. Bandaging, cuts, puncture wounds, scalp injuries, burns, nose bleeds, tooth injuries, impaled objects, amputations, crush & chest injuries. We will practice bandaging, splits, and slings.
Kim Robertson, in partnership with CCHA Teen Szene and Folk University, leads a year-long, monthly introductory course to First Aid and Emergencies. This drop-in series has already covered topics such as CPR and AED training, choking and interventions, Heart Attack, Stroke and "Stop the Bleed" training.
