Ocean Wise has a mission to inspire the global community to become Ocean Wise by increasing its understanding, wonder and appreciation for our oceans. They are home to the Cetacean Sightings Network (CNC), which encourages citizen science reporting of whales and dolphins.
CNC has helped establish the Whale Trail BC, which is host to 39 designated Whale Trail sites, marked by interpretative panels or trail markers, up and down the BC coast. Every panel highlights local information and marine mammal species that can be spotted in the area. Cortes’ Whale Trail panel will be located at the Gorge Harbour Marina.
