After a brief rest we are back and ready to host T.G.I.F. Cinema nights at the Linnaea Education Centre. This month we are showcasing international and critically acclaimed documentaries. We start this Fri., March 6, with "Pina". Unlike a traditional documentary, revered film maker Wim Wenders began this exploration of the celebrated choreographer, Pina Bausch's life & work, as a collaboration with her. Before filming began, Pina passed and her absence results is this heartbreaking, haunting & beautiful tribute to her life, craft and creative force. Brought to life through devoted dancers and the film maker's singular vision, humanity's yearning and grace is on vibrant display. Germany. Rated PG. Doors open at 6:30, with light dinner concession available. Suggested donation at the door $5. Next week Queer Movie nights are back with "Tig" Fri, March 13. Check for details.
