We are planning to release a Tender for the Cortes Seniors Village expansion on February 25th. Please NOTE, this information is being sent along now to give folks on Cortes an early heads up. Kinetic Construction will be the General Contractor for CISS working with sub-contractors. There may be an opportunity for individuals to work directly for Kinetic, but that will not be confirmed until later.

Should you wish to submit a bid here is the information about working under a CCA1 Subcontract with Kinetic:

To work under a CCA1 Subcontract with Kinetic Construction and BC Housing all trades must have General Liability Insurance with a minimum limit of liability of $2,000,000, and must be active and in good standing with WorkSafe BC. Under the CCA1 subcontract, progress claims are made at the end of each month and are paid at the end of the following month. All invoices are subject to a 10% lien holdback as required by the Builders Lien Act. Lien Holdbacks are released 55 days after substantial completion per the Lien Act.

Submitting your Quotation:

We request that you submit your quote two hours prior to the tender closing, as we require time to compile the general tender. Quotations must remain valid for a period of Ninety (90) days after the general tender close.

Personal emails are not monitored on a regular basis on tender day: use the above email to ensure your quote is received.

Kinetic reserves the right to accept or reject any quotation and to request references for any bidder.

Refer to the Supplemental Specifications and Scope of Work for additional requirements and clarifications. The Supplemental Specifications and Scope of Work are to be read into and form a part of the Drawings and Specifications and Tender Documents for the project and the whole shall constitute part of the Contract Documents.

All requirements indicated on the drawings, specifications and addenda are to be included as part of the Work; however, the General and Supplementary Conditions and Scope of Work may include additional requirements over and above those of the drawings and specifications. Review all sections of the specifications to determine the requirement for submittals such as shop drawings, samples, mockups and engineered drawings. All requirements contained within the tender documents are to be included in the bid. No claims for extras will be accepted unless exclusions are clearly and specifically identified in the Contractor’s bid. The Bidder is to report any discrepancies prior to submitting the bid.
