Community Paramedic Kim Robertson, in partnership with CCHA Teen Szene and Folk University, has been leading a year-long, monthly introductory course to First Aid and Emergencies. This drop-in series has already covered topics such as CPR and AED training, choking and interventions, Heart Attack, Stroke and "Stop the Bleed" training.
Next on the schedule is Drug Awareness. Kim is working collaboratively with the AVI Harm Reduction Team out of Campbell River for this presentation which will include overdose recognition, harm reduction, Naloxone training and lots of time for discussion and questions.
