We had been looking forward to this months walk which was also adding to the Christmas bird count. Thank you to our leaders! It started in a windy hail storm, and as I slipped along the roads to the trailhead, surely we wouldn't be crazy enough to walk through the forest in such inclement weather. At the trailhead we met other adventure seekers and we were all game! The hail and wind stopped and even the sun came out and we were all so glad that we had made the effort. Our weather can be difficult this time of year but getting outside and walking was great medicine.
