Do you run a business on Cortes? Would you like to? Do you want to create a living using Community Forest wood or have other ideas for making it on Cortes?
Cortes can be a hard place for self-employed people and small businesses to be successful. We want to help. The Cortes Community Forest Co-op, Cortes Community Economic Development Association and Folk University want to support you in putting your dreams for how to create a good living into action.
"Making It On Cortes" is an opportunity to explore your ideas with others, start turning your ideas into business proposals, learn about potential start-up funding, and connect with mentors who have tried-and-true experience building sustainable businesses. We'll also have people there who can help you overcome obstacles to growing an already successful business. We want to support you as your ideas take root and grow!

• Learn practical strategies for starting a small business
• Get tips from local entrepreneurs
