You are never too young to begin birding! Join the annual youth birding count & walk into Carrington Lagoon and the Children’s Forest. Beginning & experienced birders and youth & families are all welcome.
This event is co-sponsored by the Children’s Forest, the Cortes Museum & Archives, and NatureKidsBC with the results being sent onto Bird Studies Canada for the national winter bird count.
We will leave from the Carrington Bay Road trailhead at 10:00 am, and return by 3:00 pm.
Bring binoculars & a birding book, raingear, a hearty snack & lunch, and a good dose of curiosity and sharp eyesight. The puddles are DEEP, so wear rubber boots.
Please leave dogs behind out of respect for wild creatures, and we ask that children 7 years and younger be accompanied by an adult.
