Given that both Mansons and Gorge Community Halls on Cortes need baseline financial support to continue providing valuable community services for all islanders and especially for younger members of our community, and given that there is a great need for properly trained first responders on Cortes Island, the CISS Board of Directors fully supports the YES side in the two referendum votes being held this Saturday, October 26th.
We therefore encourage you to get out and vote YES for Bylaw 328, which would fund First Responders training for our volunteer Fire Department and YES for Bylaw 341, which would fund baseline operational expenses for our Community Halls.
