To all residents of Cortes and Quadra Islands
The Campbell River Quadra Cortes (CRQC) Ferry Advisory Committee (FAC) is one of thirteen committees set in place on the West Coast by the BC Ferry Corporation (BC Ferries) with a mandate to represent the communities in a consultative relationship with BC Ferries, while bringing forward local ferry service concerns identified by residents, businesses and other stakeholders to BC Ferries.
The FAC meetings are held twice per year and are always open to the public. However, it is not a public forum and any resident wishing to speak or make a presentation to the committee should advise the chairman prior to the meeting so that the agenda can be adjusted to accommodate the request.
Suggestions for improvements or adjustments to the ferry service, complaints or comments can be passed on to the chair directly or through any member of the Committee.
BC Ferries tries to arrange two meetings on Quadra, usually at the Heriot Bay Inn, and every third meeting on Cortes.
Decisions on requests are not made by the FAC, but are discussed, considered and passed on to BC ferries for their action.
The next scheduled meeting is at Gorge Hall on Cortes at 10.30am on Friday October 25th. The proposed agenda has already been published in Tidelines. Residents of the Islands are all welcome to attend.
