Forest Ephemeral – Artist Collective
Maker: CreatureCreature began his art journey as an illustrator, muralist, and sculptor, working for museums and exhibiting in galleries across Canada. After studying Environmental Science at university, he made a passionate decision to renounce the use of toxic and industrialized chemicals in his art — and his life. His pact however was with the earth, and his art has become so refined over time, it is now mostly comprised of materials that can be collected locally and processed by his own hands, including making his own paints, clothing and footwear!
(With the exception of recycled clay and paper.)
Much of the work available at the Cortes Craft Co-op is made from salvaged beach wood and mushrooms with hand-burnt illustrations, wildcrafted Cortes (or recycled) clay pendants and sculptures, and naturally tanned hide adornments. Thank you for your support!
