Hopefully a painted center line will be next. We sure need one!
Why The Ugly Deposits?
Comment by Dancing Wolf on 26th July 2019
It was very annoying and depressing to see that whoever ditched a few years ago dumped many loads of the excavated material on a lovely patch of ground just south of the Free Store. Then they didn't even level it out afterwards which makes quite a visual difference, as you may have noticed with all the material dumped but then leveled across from the Motel in late Spring.

I ran equipment for years in Saanich, on many miles of country roads and we never dumped near them.

The reasoning I heard was that there is no where else for it to go. I don't believe that for a minute given the large amount of room available on the Govt. land on Beasley Road....which could be better mounded, maintained and groomed for the neighbourhood visual aesthetic.

Are we to expect more dumping on other roadside meadows and green spaces? I sure hope not!!
