Love Fest has announced this year's amazing line-up of musical artists, performing Saturday, August 10, at Linnaea Farm, Cortes Island.
Cosmo Sheldrake, whose song "Come Along" is featured in recent Apple videos, will arrive on Cortes at the end of his durrent tour. Cosmo has been playing sold-out shows in Paris, London, New York, Toronto, Los Angeles, and San Francisco. He will perform solo, with electronic accompaniment, and with his brother Merlin.
Maya Rae, back by popular demand, will perform again with the Jackie Wilde Jazz Band. CBC Radio calls Maya, “One of Canada's top 35 jazz artists under 35, a supremely gifted artist who is able to phrase like Sarah Vaughan and write a lyric like Joni Mitchell." Maya has performed at The Vancouver Jazz Festival and with Canada's leading jazz players.
Jackie Wilde Jazz Band. Jackie Wilde is the keyboard player for The Lonely, now touring Canada and the US. His "Wilde Nights" is a popular solo show at The Breakwater piano bar in Victoria. Dave Blinzinger is popular in BC and across Canada with his Dave Blinzinger Quartet.
Bassist Brock Meades and drummer Graham Villette have played with the Amelia Thomas Brazillian Quartet, Abacaxi, with the Ashley Wey Trio.
Willow are a Quadra Island vocal group that mixes old world and folk styles with popular songs, string instruments, and gorgeous harmonies.
Michael Kieth: Popular Toronto blues guitarist for 30 years, Michael Keith has performed at the Festival du Musique-Action in France, at the Distillery Jazz Festival in Ontario, and on tour with Martin Tielli of the Rheostatics, with harmonica legend Carlos Del Junco, and with Canadian singer Mia Sheard. Since discovering the music of Iranian master Ostad Elahi, Michael has taken up the 3-string tanbour, studied and played traditional Chinese and Persian music, and composed the music for Buddhist Master Hsing Yun's poetry performances in China.
Ruby & Smith, Daphne Roubini and Andy Smith, perform vintage jazz, blues, roots, and their original tunes. Daphne founded Ruby's Ukes music school, and has been profiled by CBC radio, the Georgia Striaght, and others. Andrew played guitar in London’s jazz and folk scenes. They arrive on Cortes after their feature performance at the Vancouver Folk Festival.
Evemarie Brunelle: Quebec vocalist, choral singer, and director of the Allez Chante! Choir, will perform with Jackie Wilde on piano.
The all-day, 11am to 8 pm show will also feature Six-Foot Johnson, Tomato Soup, 1-Foot in the Groove, Maggie Armitage, Brenda Hansen, Mark and Hannu, Pawl & Claudia, Rick and Amy Bockner, Mateo Tomlinson, Rob and Noella, spoken word artist Erin Skye Robinsong, and more. There will be arts, crafts, body work, and food, including a special surprise BBQ. Family fun in the sun, all day.

Just wondering if you will post the show order/timing? I am working that day and hope to make the end of the festival but, would love to know who is playing 5-8pm.
