It’s Alma again, back with another Cortes Day post!
Nail, Sail, Bail is a Cortes Day tradition in which teams of two build a boat with limited time and materials and then compete in a race to win a trophy and a special prize . To see a video of the 2016 race, click here
This year, our dear coordinators Luc and Mark will not be returning to oversee this event, and as a result, I am looking for one or two people to take over this important role.
The position will entail recruiting teams, setting up and overseeing the building phase, and hosting the race as the main commentator. Further details, instructions, and all the materials needed will be provided. If you are (or you know someone who is) outgoing and excited about helping to bring this tradition to life this year, please contact me at mansonshallgmail.com or phone me at 250-935-0235.
As a final note, we are still looking for general volunteers for set up, clean up, staffing the food stand, and helping out with other various events. Please get in touch if you are able to help out in any capacity.
I hope to see you all down at Smelt Bay on July 20th!
