AdventureSmart YOUTH Outdoor Survival Presentations

AdventureSmart presenters are coming to Cortes on Saturday June 8th to give two different presentations on outdoor safety and survival!

These presentations come highly recommended for all who love outdoor adventures - big and small.

Hug a Tree and Survive is aimed at children 5 – 11 years old.

Survive Outside is for outdoor enthusiasts aged 12 years and up!

We welcome all ages and families -please read the descriptions and choose the appropriate presentation for your families ages.

Kids attending KIA or AIL may be dropped off and picked up after the presentation.

Hug-a-Tree and Survive (5 - 11yrs old) is an AdventureSmart program that helps lost children survive in the woods. It teaches children how not to become lost in the woods, and what to do should they become lost.

Survive Outside—A Guide to Outdoor Safety
(12 years and up!)
Augment your basic outdoor survival knowledge by taking the “Survive Outside – A Guide to Outdoor Safety” program offered by AdventureSmart. This brief presenter-led classroom program is targeted toward novice outdoor enthusiasts, youth groups, and everyone – young and old - interested in learning introductory outdoor survival practices from highly-experienced SAR volunteers and AdventureSmart team members.
