The WHO, WHAT, WHERE, WHEN, HOW and WHY of conservation covenants; voluntary landowners and ecologically significant lands in the face of climate change.

Legalities, costs, tax incentives, restrictions, reserved rights, monitoring, rent charges etc.

The Cortes Wild! natural history display area will be open for viewing.

Meet TLC – The Land Conservancy of BC
TLC staff will walk us through their history of land conservation work and discuss their relationship with Cortes Island.
2:30 - 3:30
Community Land Holding
Meet the Linnaea Farm Stewards and other Cortes Island landowners living in community, who will discuss the pros and cons of community living.
Open House format follows to provide you 1:1 time with landowners and TLC staff.
This community discussion on conservation covenants is hosted by the Cortes Land Conservancy Working Group and Linnaea Farm Society.
