Five years have passed since the Community Forestry General Partnership entered into an agreement with the Province establishing the Cortes Island Community Forest. The first step was to engage the community in drafting the CFOP - a document to identify the top priorities in how we approach the management of the community forest.
Now, we are seeking your participation in reviewing this guiding document so that it can best reflect the perspectives of the Cortes Island community for the next five years.
Give us your informed opinion!
First, review the current CFOP and read the synopsis of our activities. These documents are attached here and at our website,
www.cortesforestrypartnership.com. Hard copies are available for review at the library, Manson’s Hall, and the Klahoose Multipurpose Building. In addition, look over the other documents and maps on our website.
Then, fill out the questionnaire. You can find the questionnaire attached here, on our website, and in your Cortes Island mailbox.
Finally, return it to us by December 14. Completed questionnaires can be dropped off at the Cortes Library, Klahoose Multipurpose Building, Whaletown Post Office, Manson’s Hall, Squirrel Cove Store, or the Gorge Harbour Marina Store. OR, they can be sent by email to cfopreviewgmail.com.
You can also provide input any time to the CFOP Review coordinator, Maureen Williams, by phone (250-415-0878), email (cfopreviewgmail.com), or in person.
thanks for your help!
