For those people that are concerned and have comments to share and can't be at the Sept 5th meeting, the below is posted at the bottom on the Notice of Public Hearing announcement that was posted on Tideline. That same notice lists many, if not all, of the proposed changes, additions, amendments etc . George Sirk posted links to BOTH the current by law proposal and the 2002 by law for comparison for those that want to dig into this further. That was under the Tideline heading: "Public Hearing Sept 5th-Your Interests are at Stake" (Special Section >> Community)

You are encouraged to write if you can't be at the meeting. The below was taken from the original notice...I send it as a reminder since time is running short:

Written submissions from persons who are unable to attend the public hearing must be
delivered by hand or electronically to the Regional District office ( no later than
4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, September 4, 2018, to be considered as part of the public hearing
record. The Strathcona Regional District cannot consider any representations made after the
close of the public hearing.
This is a massive document with lots to cover and not too much time, but it behooves us all to check this out!
