It was a beautiful sunny day for the Whaletown Community Club’s annual plant sale and work bee. The hall got a good scrub down, trenches were dug, gutters were cleaned, and many plants were sold! We raised almost $600, which wouldn’t have been possible without the generous donations we received. Our thanks go out to Squirrel Cove Store, Cortes Market, Hollyhock, Whaletown garden Centre, and Fairhaven Farms for plant donations, as well as Home Hardware, Home Depot, CR Garden Centre, Dragon’s Lair, and Quadra Builders. Thanks also to all of the individuals who dropped off plants, or gave their time and labour!

The hall is so beautiful right now. I am loving the WCC board.... such great, inspired people from our hood'. Volunteering sometimes feels tedious and unseen, but know that I appreciate you and what you do regularly. Thanks so much, you guys are all the best and represent what this rock is all about...giving back by contributing and being apart of the community. Its what makes this place so awesome.
