Our story begins over a decade ago when we first travelled to Kenya to visit family and explore the amazing countryside. After spending several months in the country and connecting with many wonderful local families and individuals, we returned home to start our own family.
Nzuri Basket Company is a small, family run business working directly with women in Kenya to bring you a stunning, unique, and ever-changing collection of handmade, fairly purchased sisal baskets and bags.
Working one of one with a small, female run business in Kenya, we purchase our baskets direct, ensuring fair prices are paid to all the craftspeople involved in each and every baskets creation. Each basket is unique; by purchasing individual creations, we support women who are using their craft to supplement their income as subsistence farmers while supporting their freedom to create.
