Welcome in the first week of Spring on a Nature Study Day in the Children's Forest this Sunday, February 4th!

Some parts of the country celebrate Groundhog Day. Here on Cortes, we watch for signs of the first alligator lizard rustling about to mark the advent of Spring. Check-out the great photo by Angus Ellingsen, of his first sighting of an alligator lizard this week!

We're off to check-out more signs of Spring on our Nature Study Day walk. Everyone Welcome!

Youth 7 and under to be accompanied by an adult; leave the 4-legged ones at home, as we walk the northern wilds.

1000 start from the trailhead on Carrington Bay Road; return by 3pm. Pack a lunch and water and dress for the weather!

Nature Study Days are sponsored by the Forest Trust for the Children of Cortes Island Society/ FTCCIS.
