WCC - Jenny
The WCC Classical Concert Series is pleased to present The Blue Hour, an evening of opera arias, art songs, piano solos and show tunes spanning ten countries and four languages, with Kim Paulley, soprano, Margaret McLynn, piano, and special guest Aaron Ellingsen, violin.
Kim and Margaret, both classically trained, bring a rich background to this music. Kim has performed regularly in opera and concerts, including many seasons with Calgary Opera and Pacific Opera Victoria. Recent highlights include: the Soprano Soloist in Pergolesi’s Stabat Mater with the Calgary Baroque String Orchestra; a Mermaid in Daphne with Pacific Opera Victoria; and, Yum Yum in The Mikado with the Victoria Gilbert and Sullivan Society. Margaret hails from Ireland, very successfully transplanting her musical life to Victoria. She is as comfortable behind the piano as in front of it. A superb collaborative pianist with singers, instrumentalists and choirs, she also sang with the Pacific Opera Chorus for sixteen years.
