On July 25th, 2017 Quadra RCMP received a report of a stolen cell phone. The complainant was swimming in Smelt Bay on Cortes Island and left their phone on the shore with their clothes. When the complainant returned from swimming their phone was gone. The complainant did see several people walk past the area of the cell phone and clothes on the beach. If you have any information regarding this theft contact the Quadra RCMP.
On July 27th, 2017 Quadra RCMP received a report of a theft of a paddle board from the beach at the end of Milford road. The paddle board is blue and white in colour and is a NSP brand. If you have seen this board please contact the Quadra RCMP.
On July 27th and 29th Quadra RCMP issued two 90 day Immediate roadside prohibitions (IRPs) from driving to two different drivers. In both cases, the drivers provided two breath samples into two different approved screening devices which resulted in FAIL readings. This means their blood alcohol was in excess of 100MGS. (Legal limit is 80MGS).
On July 24th, 2017 Quadra RCMP received a report of a found canoe on Village Bay lakes. If you have lost your canoe contact the Quadra RCMP so we can reunite you.
On July 27th, 2017 in the early morning hours, Quadra RCMP received a complaint from a person who went out to check on their vehicle that was parked off Pidcock road and found an unknown person sleeping in their vehicle. RCMP attended and located the suspect who advised that they had been drinking quite a bit and could not remember how they ended up in this vehicle. No damage was done and no charges are being pursued in this matter.

I would appreciate separation between reports for Cortes and Quadra . Locations given as a road name do not make it clear which island is meant. Thanks
