Take the Survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/T87FBYM

The future of our island home will be deeply influenced and shaped by our economic choices and actions in the years to come. One of my key commitments to you was a focus on setting economic priorities as identified by YOU! A few of us have pulled hard to put together the Local Economic Action Plan (LEAP) sponsored by the Cortes Island Business And Tourism Association and we have a great team who is keen to find ways of implementing your direction.

Thank-you to the few hundred of you who have already completed the on-line survey. The more respondents we have the more statistically relevant the answers will be and the more representative of our collective will.

What do you think will ensure that Cortes Island has a thriving community and economy in the future?

What priorities should we focus on and invest as a community?

Are there trends that concern you?

Please complete our survey - year 'round, seasonal residents and visitors all encouraged to take part. It should take about 30 minutes.

The survey can be accessed here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/T87FBYM

It is also available on the new CIBATA website at www.cibata.ca, where you can also find out more about the LEAP, and the LEAP process.

Any questions? Please contact us at leapcibata.ca

Frustrated with regional district meetings? Me too, but this is different. Not connected.

LEAP PROJECT OVERVIEW

The Cortes Island Business and Tourism Association (CIBATA) has secured funding to develop a Local Economic Action Plan (LEAP) to foster community economic development on Cortes Island

The LEAP is a grassroots economic action plan which aims to engage the community in designing an economic strategy for Cortes, and identify economic priorities for the island over the next five years.

CIBATA was formed in 2012 as a not-for-profit organization to initiatiate holistic community development and economic development for local businesses. CIBATA supports activities and initiatives that promote sustainable business and the island as a whole.
Latch on to some good old fashioned community caring.
