What a night last Saturday at Mansons Hall fundraiser was. The love caring and support in the room was palpable and for me, overwhelming....but it felt fantastic.

A huge thank you to Jim Kearney for being the instigator and doing such an amazing job, and to Dana Solomon for jumping right in when Jim asked if she would to help with the organization.

Dancing Wolf was awesome taking care of every detail setting up the hall. What an altar he created and his poem touched my heart and everyone there deeply. His beautiful partner Elke and my love Susan were his helpers, cleaners, fixers and general supporters, and carried out his dream with love, which was felt by all who walked in.

Oriane Lee Johnson and Deb Koch did a fabulous job pulling together and organizing....then displaying all of the incredible auction items-50! that had been donated. What an incredible selection of services, art, pottery, gifts, sailing trips and of course that incredible Mark Appleyard gate!!!

George Sirk did a fantastic job as M.C. for the auction. He did it with humour, style and panache and had us all roaring with laughter.

So, so many other people showed up in so many ways to pull all the details together... helping in the kitchen, decorating the hall, setting up and laying tables, being runners, pickers up, servers, dish washers, cleaners, musicians and every other thing that goes in to making an event like this flow.

Dana told me from her perspective "it never felt like work at all because of the energy everyone brought to it...it was filled with joy".

As George said "See what a community you chose to live in"!
He was right and I send my love and gratitude to all in this wonderful community for all the love and support.

Humbly.

David.
