Join us April 20 for the next dinner in the Co-op Cafés Dream Cuisine series.
We're really excited to welcome back chef Yifan Li as he takes us on another exciting culinary journey to his homeland roots with the spicy bite and exquisite subtleties of fine Sichuan flavours.

凉拌萝卜 Carrot and wood ear salad: Sichuan-style salad with fresh julienned carrots and wood ear mushroom in a spicy numbing vinaigrette.
Main Accompanied with steamed jasmine rice
盐煎肉 Seared chili pork: fresh pork belly stir fried with leeks in a 家尝 (home style) sauce
干锅鸡 Dry-fried chicken: deep-fried chicken sauteed with red peppers in an aromatic mix of Sichuanese spices
绰生菜 Stir fried lettuce: fresh romaine hearts flash fried in a wok with garlic
Pateis de natas: vanilla egg custard in a hand-made puff pastry shell
Yifan Li hails from Chengdu, a city nestled deep in the mountains of Sichuan, China, renowned for its rich culinary tradition. Sichuan cuisine is famed internationally for its bold flavour combinations, varied textures, and vibrant colours. Yifan learned to cook from his mom and has spent his adult life chasing after the tantalizing flavours and textures of the cuisine he loves.
