The Cortes Island Museum Archives has recently completed a digitization project with a grant of $1000 from the Terry Rekster Memorial Fund awarded through Friends of the BC Archives. Oral histories recorded on 76 aging cassette tapes containing a wealth of reminiscences have been transferred to a stable digital format for preservation, for access by researchers, and for sharing the stories on CRTZ Radio as “Vintage Vignettes” (http://cortesradio.ca/vintage-vignettes)
We sincerely thank the Friends of the BC Archives for awarding us this grant.
