There are lots of power and phone lines down on the island so if you are trying to reach someone... just know they might not be receiving your message even if you get their answering machine. Or maybe you left messages, they might be lost as there is a record of brownouts reported.

BC Hydro is here and more trucks just came off the ferry so hopefully power will get restored for everyone soon.
