Do you know what this man is doing?
If you guessed “he’s using very small pins, magnifying glasses and lots of time to count each ring of the Douglas Fir tree “cookie” on display in the Museum’s garden”, you’re right! Many visitors and locals alike have come to the Museum to try their hand at ageing the Douglas Fir tree on exhibit. Some come to make guesses, others with best estimates and a few for precision counting.
So why are so many people coming to guess the age of this magnificent tree? Because we are running a contest! Yes it’s free to enter. Yes there is a prize (don’t tell but I have insider information that it will be a t-shirt)!
So why not give it a try? Come to the Museum and find out how good you are at guessing, estimating, or counting the age of trees. You’ll be able to find out how good you are in just over a week on July 10, 2016 when we announce the contest winner at the Official Exhibit Opening.www.cortesmuseum.com
