We have just finished our first trip to Mitlenatch and Twin Islands with a naturalist group from Powel River and the comments we got back from them included; “We were treated like royalty”, “Thank you to the most generous host Mark”, “Felt like a queen!”, “The meals were outstanding”, “Good to see solar cells and alternate energy used at the island”. Teriyaki salmon served up with Twin Island apple wine and garden salad along with Samantha’s homemade goodies set on the dining table in the lodge made for a memorable feast.

And this does not even include the fantastic day we had out at Mitlenatch Island!

The Cortes Island Museum is hosting several Misty Isles trips that take in the Twin Island experience this summer. The first is coming up soon on June 11/12th to Mitlenatch and Twin Islands. Then there is a 3-day Twin Island based kayak exploration July 14-16th that has us finishing by paddling right into Cortes Days at Smelt Bay! And on August 24/25th there is an overnight Cassel Lake and Twin Island trip.
