The Cortes community is invited to join Darryn McConkey, Senior Ecosystem Biologist with MFLNRO, for a talk discussing the ecology and management of Northern Goshawks in coastal BC.

Darryn will be visiting friends on the Island and has offered to share some of his professional work on Northern Goshawks with the Community. Friends of Cortes Island (FOCI) Society is delighted to take Darryn up on this offer and sponsor his talk.
The Northern Goshawk is a species-at-risk; provincially red-listed in BC and federally listed as threatened under SARA.

Bring a packed lunch so you do not need to rush off and then join Darryn for some field work focusing on goshawk inventory and habitat assessments. We will determine the site/s of the field work with Darryn, while pouring over forest maps of Cortes, over lunch!

Everyone welcome.
