General News · 17th March 2016
This year the Strathcona Regional District has again $25,000 to award to local non-profit organisations that provide services, programs and facilities that are of broad benefit to the community. I like to earmark 1/2 to 2/3 of these funds to support the ongoing work of local groups, often in the form of core operational funding which can be very hard to come by. The remaining 1/2 to 1/3 of these funds I hold to support a larger strategic initiative with broad impact, often an emerging program. The application is relatively simple and this year I ask that they be submitted to me, directly to me by mail or email, by April 10th. In my December newsletter I stated an earlier date which has obviously been extended. If your organisation would like to be considered for funding but are unable to meet the April 10th deadline, please contact me to discuss. Find the application attached.
Thank-you to all the lifelong hard work that so many of you offer to keep Cortes non-profits going!
