On November 27th, 2015 the Cortes Market noticed that someone had hit the exterior wall of the store with a vehicle which caused some damage to the exterior as well as shelving on the inside of the store.
On November 27th, 2015 Quadra RCMP received two reports of vehicles that had slid off the road and into the ditch at Hyacinthe Bay road and West road. No one was injured in either accident. Road conditions at the time were very icy.
On November 27th, 2015 Tru Value Foods in Heriot Bay reported that they had their garbage bin locks cut off. The suspect(s) also damaged the metal bars on the garbage bins.
On November 29th, 2015 Tru Value Foods in Quathiaski Cove reported that they had their garbage bin locks cut off their bins. This damage to property as well as the other one in Heriot Bay is still under investigation. If you have any information please contact the Quadra RCMP or Crimestoppers.
On November 30th , 2015 Quadra RCMP received 2 different reports of dog attacks that had taken place in the past 24 hours. A woman was bitten while trying to protect her dog from another dog. In this case both dogs were off leash. In the second incident a woman was walking her two small dogs on leash down the road when two large dogs came charging out at her. One of the large dogs picked up a small dog by the back with its teeth and shook it back and forth then ran away. Owners are reminded that they are liable for any injuries and/or damage their pets cause.
