Laura Heslin is a Registered Acupuncturist with a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
She is offering community acupuncture treatments at OM Studio at Manson's Hall on Sundays.
Community acupuncture is receiving an acupuncture treatment in a supportive group setting, where you sit in a chair or lie down on a yoga mat with others in the room who are also receiving a treatment.
The needles are placed in areas of the body that are from the knees and elbows downwards and is called distal style needling. Areas in the ears and head can also be needled. There are powerful and effective points located in these areas that are able to affect the whole body and can treat pain and other symptoms without needling directly into the site of pain.
Laura has a broad scope of practice with special interests in pain, trauma, scar tissue, women’s health, emotional wellness, digestive health, immune conditions, sleep regulation, addictions and stress-related imbalances.
The cost is on a sliding scale from $30-$45 and treatments are eligible for MSP coverage. If the cost is prohibitive, please contact Laura to discuss other arrangements.
All are Welcome.
