There is a complete ban on fires and campfires due to the extremely dry conditions. The Quadra RCMP will be working closely with the Quadra Island Fire Department, Cortes Island Fire Department, and the Fire Wardens to ensure the ban is strictly enforced. If you see a campfire or someone throwing out cigarette butts please contact the local RCMP. The RCMP has zero tolerance when it puts the safety of the community in jeopardy and severe fines will be issued.

Quadra Island RCMP had a kayak that was turned in to the detachment that was found floating in the Surge just south of Peck Island. If you have lost your kayak contact the Quadra RCMP.
