Community Screening and Discussion
Wednesday January 28th, 2015

ELECTION DAY IN CANADA examines the dramatic rise of voter suppression in Canada during the 2011 Federal Election, and the aftermath to the present day Fair Elections Act. Filmmaker and journalist Peter Smoczynski will present clips from his work-in-progress documentary in a live webcast from Victoria as part of OPEN CINEMA'S Connect the Docs 'hybrid cinema' format. Cortes Literacy Now will host a screening of this live webcast, and follow it up with some local discussion of our own as part of an online discussion taking part across Canada.

Join Literacy Now for an exciting evening of cinema, community, and social media in action!

Wednesday January 28th, Screening begins at 7pm
Cortes Co-op Cafe, Manson's Landing
Doors will open at 6:30pm

This is a free event to the community! Donations are welcome!
