On December 10th, 2014 Quadra RCMP received a report that the Cortes Island Market had been broken into by several suspects. The suspects caused damage by breaking into the store then stole a considerable amount of alcohol and then fled the scene. Two suspects were observed on video and the police investigation continues.
On December 11th, 2014 Quadra RCMP were advised of a peeping tom incident that occurred back on December 4th between 10:30-11:30PM on Green road in Quathiaski Cove. An unknown person was observed looking in a window at a residence. So far police have no suspects and no other witnesses.
On December 11th, 2014 Quadra RCMP received a report of a theft from vehicle at the Quathiaski Cove Ferry Terminal. The unknown suspect(s) smashed a window and gained entry into the vehicle. Items in the vehicle were damaged and strewn about.
On December 17th, 2014 Quadra RCMP responded to a report of a depressed suicidal male on Quadra Island. The male had taken numerous pills and walked into the woods. The RCMP searched for the male with the assistance of the RCMP police dog with negative results. Campbell River Search and Rescue (SAR) attended and searched the area and ended up locating the male late in the evening. The male was taken to hospital by ambulance to be assessed by a physician.
