Hello Cortes Community – BC Ambulance is looking for “patients” – all ages.
On Friday November 21, after the market at 3:30 pm, the BC Ambulance Service would like to invite you to come to a Blood Pressure Clinic at Manson’s Hall. Four of our neighbors have come forward to be hired by BCAS and trained as Emergency Medical Responders. They, along with three others, from Quadra and beyond will be hoping to practice their patient assessment skills between 3:30 and 4:30 pm. The Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) course offered by the Justice Institute, is an entry level course for being hired by BCAS. It is a full-time three week long course that gives participants Basic Life Support (BLS) skills. Assessing Vital Signs is an essential part of Basic Life Support skills, and our newly hired volunteers are eager to become comfortable taking them and developing their patient contact skills. We are hoping you will join us to have your vital signs assessed at Manson’s Hall on Friday the 21st – come meet our new crew! For more information call Mary Clare at 935-6935 or 6384.
