At our 2014 AGM, we will be celebrating 20 years of Marine Stewardship on Cortes Island. For over two decades, local volunteers have participated in monitoring and mapping the marine environment surrounding Cortes. This project has been a cornerstone of our organization’s environmental stewardship work and we are proud to be celebrating 20 years of supporting this initiative.

We invite you to join us on November 23rd to commemorate this amazing achievement!

Since 1995, nearly 100 volunteers have participated in FOCI’s Marine Stewardship program. During our AGM, we will highlight the key accomplishments of this longstanding initiative and will celebrate the public release of the
Marine Stewardship Portfolio; a compilation of the program's research and achievements over the past 20 years.

Our AGM will also feature short updates about our current projects, including:
Stream Stewardship
Trail Mapping
Lake Stewardship & Water Quality Monitoring
Regional District Parks Management
Community Education Programs
Watershed Sentinel Magazine
Community Fundraising Initiative

NEW Memberships & Renewals will take place at 3pm on November 23rd.

Or look for our upcoming Fall Newsletter which includes a membership form that you can send in by mail.

We hope you will join us for this celebratory event!
